The formidable Eädyth, in collaboration with Ladies of Rage presents
Harddwch Du - "Black Beauty" - a six-chapter EP made by Womxn of Colour.
The music has splashes of RnB, Neo-Soul, rap and experimental sound, featuring beautiful beats, soulful voices,
powerful lyrics and innovative production techniques. The EP was designed to showcase the wide range of talented
artists of colour in the LOR collective, and bring them right to the forefront of the scene in Wales. 15 WOC artists
collaborated to produce the music and the visuals, during the Summer and Autumn of 2020.
With bi-lingual lyrics exploring being brown and Welsh in "Rise Up"; womxn loving womxn in "Mamacita"; and Black
Lives Matter in "Struggle Is Real" - "keep fighting we will for our queens you killed". The sound and atmosphere
created is gorgeous - this EP is not one to miss!

Ladies of Rage is a collective supporting womxn in Cardiff who are involved in urban, MOBO, and electronic music,
such as hip hop, drum and bass and grime. They hold regular jams, skill-shares and showcases, and offer mutual
support and networking among their members. This powerhouse collective have teamed up with Merthyr’s electro-
pop & RnB producer/Soul-singer Eädyth to create this EP.
Eädyth is fast becoming a household name to listeners of BBC Wales and BBC Radio Cymru due to her unique electro-
soul sound and bilingual lyricism. In 2020 she also received airtime from KISS FM and BBC Radio 1. Over the past two
years, Eädyth has been part of both the BBC Horizons and Forté Project talent development schemes, proving further
how invested the Welsh music industry is in her journey to become one of our freshest current artists.
Aleighcia Scott - the sensationally talented Reggae/Soul singer - gave guidance and mentoring sessions to the artists
creating "Harddwch Du", to pass down her creative and business wisdom - building everyone's confidence in the
process.
Says Eädyth: “This EP is designed to help empower the Womxn of Colour within the LOR network and to support the
talent and creators in the group. Music allows us to express ourselves and to express our identities and this project
has allowed us to work together and build strong friendships with one another. Inspirations of the EP come from our
heritage and background and also artists such as Lauryn Hill, Little Simz, Janelle Monae and Solange”
